Young Adults
A lot happens in one’s 20s and 30s - dating, marriage, children, job changes. At Trinity, we want you to know that, despite the chaos of these times, the church will be there as a community of those who “bear one another’s burdens.” (Galatians 6:2).
Our Young Adult ministry seeks to empower persons between the ages of 22 and 35 to “Grow” as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. We welcome these persons regardless of life stage to come and experience God’s grace in our prayerful, open, and worshiping community.
From Sunday School, to fellowship events, to mission projects, to worship, to small groups, Trinity offers a wide range of options for spiritual growth for young adults. Sunday School
At Trinity, Sunday School is the core locus of Christian growth and discipleship. We offer Sunday School classes for a wide range of ages, life stages, and interests.
- DISCOVERY: Diverse groups of singles and couples in their 20s and 30s. Discussion of faith and social issues from a biblical perspective. Meets in room 320. Contact Paige Hofer at
- GAMOS: Married couples in their 20s and early 30s. Meets in room 330. Contact Paul Jones at
- AHAVA: Married couples who have their first child or plan to soon. Meets in room 323. Contact Christopher Bailey at
- HORIZONS: New class for parents with infants through mid-elementary age children. Meets in room 326. Contact Lane Wooley at
- JOURNEY: Parents in their 30s who have infant through pre-school aged children. Meets in room 315. Contact Chris Smith at
Weekly Small Groups
- Young Singles Study: Every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM, a group of singles in their 20s and early 30s meets at Lisa Elliott’s home for dinner (free), fellowship, and faith-based discussion. Contact Lisa at for more information.
Young Adult Small Groups for Young Women & Men
- United Methodist Women Circle 3: These women are mostly in their 30’s with some 20’s mixed in and enjoy Christian Fellowship and missions programs. This circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30. For more information, contact Tara Williams at 879-4167.
- United Methodist Women Circle 4: This is Trinity’s newest and youngest circle. These women are mostly in their 20’s and have a strong focus on Bible study and mission projects. This circle meets on the First Tuesday of every month at 6:30. For more information, contact at 902-3378.

Events
- Convergence: Every spring, Trinity Young Adults travel away for a weekend of spiritual renewal and formation. This year, Convergence headed to the United Methodist Choctaw Mission in Choctaw, MS in May.
- Young Adult Tailgate: Every fall, Trinity hosts its annual Young Adult Tailgate. This is a time for fellowship and fun as Young Adults and their Sunday School classes cook up some good Southern cooking, compete for prizes, and share the hospitality of Christ.
